CMD SwiftLink RS-232

  • SwiftLink from Dr. Evil Laboratories is an RS-232 serial interface that plugs into the cartridge port on the Commodore 64 and 128. It was distributed for many years through Created Micro Designs (CMD). Traditional user port interfaces use Commodore’s software emulation and are typically limited to 2400 bps or less. The SwiftLink cartridge contains a 6551 ACIA that allows error-free communication at up to 38,400 bps.
